Twenty-five thousand years after Atlantis began it had evolved into a military dictatorship. Unjust wars were waged to gain power, resources and political control. The empire dominated the entire area around the Black Sea. The mighty Atlantian army had plans to attack Athens. The Athenians did not wait for the Atlantians to lay siege upon them, they boldly prepared to attack the invincible City of Atlantis.

It was impossible to attack Atlantis from the sea. The Greeks planned to attack by land. The mighty army of the Hellenes was marching up a dry riverbed, north of the coastal mountains, toward the City of Atlantis when an earthquake began. The alluvial silt of the riverbed became like vibrating talc beneath their feet. As the tremors continued all of the great warriors of Athene literally vanished into the Earth.
