The history of the empire of Atlantis begins when two ancient lovers meet on a hill located about five miles north of a great sea. They began building the city of Atlantis on this hill. Today their hill is located on the southern edge of a thin peninsula, which separates the Sea of Azov from the Black Sea. This hill is called Mount Mithridat, and is also known as Mithridate Hill. The cities that have been built on this hill have long, glorious and tragic histories.

In about 600 BC, Greeks from Turkey, founded a city on this hill, which they named Panticapaeum. This city became known as the City of Pan, in honor of the Greek god. This city has remained habitated for 2,600 years and is now known as Kerch, Crimea, Ukraine. The Kerch/Panticapaeum location matches all the criteria for the location of Atlantis city that was recorded in ancient Egyptians registers. This history is available online in the Atlantis Transcripts.

Panticapaeum became the capitol of the mighty Kingdom of Bosporus. For archaeologists, who began excavating the site at the close of the eighteenth century, Panticapaeum is unequalled in the Black Sea region in its richness of ceramics, jewelry, sculptures, and a wide range of other artifacts. The World Monuments Fund included Panticapaeum on its 2004 World Monuments Watch List of 100 most endangered sites.

Only small remnants of the once mighty capital city of the Kingdom of Bosporus still exist. Today on Mithridat Hill, the temples, palaces and fountians are gone and now there are only a few ancient columns, a tall white monolith honoring the bravery of war-heroes, and a small light house shining out a single beacon to light our pathway of discovery to our primal ancestors. This hill is the birthplace of our modern civilization and the heart of our beloved Motherland. From this unassuming hill by the sea, our precious Blue Planet tribe has migrated around the world.

Amazing Similarities of Panticapaeum and Atlantis:

This is the true tale of ancient Panticapaeum, capital city of the Kingdom of Bosporus , north of the Pontus (Black Sea) . The history of Panticapaeum has remarkable similarity to the history of the city of Atlantis , as recorded in the Atlantis Transcripts.

Listen, dear friends, to a tale from ages long past of a mighty kingdom that rose to power on the northern shore of a great sea. Because of the greatness of this kingdom many merchants from foreign countries sailed their trading vessels into the harbor. They traded for the abundant riches of gold, silver, ivory and exotic produce from this kingdom; which were exported to destinations far and wide. The harbor was full of vessels and the docks were a din of activity with merchants, sailors and visitors navigating the labyrinths of naval stores and vast array of diverse cargo.

The capital of this kingdom was protected by a wall surrounding the city. In the center of the city was a hill, not very high on any side. An elaborate palace, glorious temples, exotic gardens and impressive civic buildings were constructed on the top and terraced slopes of this hill. The citizenry had opportunity to relax, after their labors, in hot minerals baths. They refreshed and enjoyed themselves in invigorating natural mineral springs.

Outside the city walls was a fertile plain. Due the pleasantness of the climate, a rich variety of fruits, crops and produce were harvested, in infinite abundance, twice a year. Herbs, essences, ointments, flowers, nuts and distilled drinks furnished nourishment, pleasure and amusement for the inhabitants of this ancient kingdom.

The land immediately about and surrounding the city was a level plain. Majestic mountains, celebrated for their number, size and beauty, rose with splendor beyond this portion of the plain. They contained rivers, lakes and meadows supplying food enough for every animal, wild or tame, and much wood of various sorts, abundant for each and every kind of work. These mountains descended toward the sea with precipitous cliffs along the shoreline.

The kingdom flourished for many generations as the populous continued building their palaces, temples and fortifications. Even in the ground beneath this thriving metropolis, citizens were busy excavating tunnels to quarry red, white and black rock to be used in the construction of their kingdom.

This kingdom withstood the onslaught of invaders, wars and civil rebellions… but finally it was destroyed by a devastating earthquake.

This tale of an ancient kingdom built by many generations and sustained by the natural abundance of the land and sea, though seemingly fantastic, is absolutely true. The kingdom was known as Bosporus . Its capital was Panticapaeum.
